Background This article applies to ARMD active users who want to exchange their Parallel key for a USB key. Given the fact that the Parallel port is becoming obsolete, some new systems ship without one and this can pose a problem for ARMD users who currently have a Parallel key.
Definitions Active ARMD user An ARMD active user is a user that has a valid software support and maintenance contract.
ARMD key An ARMD key (also known as key or Sentinel key) consists of a small device, which connects to your system’s Parallel or USB port. An ARMD Key is required to run any ARMD solver. They may look like the following:
